Alpha Wrestling Evolution is back for the start of the new year with the announcement that our first show of 2010 will take place on the 3rd April as AWE present ‘One Will Prevail 2010: The Second Coming’ live from Tipton Sports Academy in the heart of the West Midlands.

Already announced for what is sure to be a fantastic night of family entertainment is that the current No. 1 Contender for the Alpha Wrestling Evolution title, “The Rapid Fire” Tommy Gunn will square off with the current holder of the aforementioned gold, “The Messiah” Brandon Thomas. Gunn won the privilege of being No. 1 Contender back in October at Odds Against 2009 when he defeated 14 other men in a grueling Rumble and went on to retrieve the contract from high above the ring.

The only way to see this and more is to be at Tipton Sports Academy on Saturday, April 3rd 2010. More matches to be announced in the coming weeks.

AWE is back with its showcase master piece of the year Odds Against. All has been building up for this mammoth event. With a new champion crowned at the last event Breakout “Rage in the Cage” in “The Messiah” Brandon Thomas, who will be first to step up to the plate and take on the cocky, arrogant champion? Will it be a rematch for “Starman” Mark Clarke or will a fresh opponent hustle his way past “Starman” to get a shot at “The Messiah’s” gold?

“The Messiah” will be looking at AWE’s main event and original match in 15 – 1 as the match he won in turn to get a Number 1 Contenders shot last year which helped him reach the top of the mountain.

Names entered into this year’s 15 – 1 are both The Hunters Bros (Lee & Jim), “Star Man” Mark Clarke, “The Eagle Street Terrorist Matt Clarke”, “The Rapid Fire” Tommy Gunn, Chris Brookes, The NTT, “The Original Sin” Scott Sinton and “Prime Hate” Joe Logan.

The rules of this match are simple. Two men will start the match and then every two minutes a new entrant will be added until we have had all 15 men in the ring. With the only way to be eliminated out of this match is to be thrown over the top rope until we have four men remaining.

When we are down to these four men the match will then change into a ladder match with the winner being the man that climbs to the top of the ladder and obtains the contract to meet the AWE Champion whoever he will be in the near future.

Dark Match: Cupid Valentino bested “The Trademark” Tommy Mason

1. “Rowdy” Rob Long beat “The Sensational #1″ Jason Fellows
“The Messiah” Brandon Thomas came to the ring follwoing the match and attacked Rob Long, he then challenged “Star Man” Mark Clarke to come out and accept his challenge for a re-match for the AWE Title later this evening or he would beat Rob Long senseless with the ring bell. Clarke made the save only a little too late as Rob fell victim to a vicious shot with the steel bell. Clarke vowed to get revenge and succesfully defend the AWE Title later that evening.
2. 8-Man Survivor Series: Chris Brookes was the Sole Survivor.
- James Hunter eliminated “The Original Sin” Scott Stinton via inverted DDT.
- “Dangerous” Dave Daniels eliminated Jim Hunter via Olympic Slam.
- The Coal Miners eliminated Cupid Valentino via The Mine Shaft.
- Coal Miner P & Lee Hunter went to a double count-out elimination.
- Chris Brookes eliminated Coal Miner D via a small package roll-up.
- Chris Brookes eliminated “Dangerous” David Daniels via second-rope sunset flip.
3. “The Eagle Street Terrorist” Matt Clarke toppled The Violent NTT.
4. “The Dark Angel” Carl Mizzery beat “Prime Hate” Joe Logan.
5. AWE Title: “The Messiah” Brandon Thomas defeated “Star Man” Mark Clarke (c) to become the NEW AWE Champion.
6. Steel Cage Match: “Death Row” Shaun Langley escaped the cage after destroying Big Richard Action with two de-railer’s and knocking “The Eagle Street Terrorist” Matt Clarke off the cage through a table.

On top of the already announced first ever AWE Steel Cage match between Big Richard Action and “Death Row” Shaun Langley and huge 8-Man Survivor Series Match we can now announce:

- Singles Contest set to take place July 25th:
As well as the alteration to the scheduled Survivor Series match AWE are also happy to reveal today that a Singles Contest has been signed for the already huge event on the 25th of July. Fan favorite The Violent NTT will square off one-on-one with the most despised man in the AWE locker room, “The Eagle Street Terrorist” Matt Clarke.

Swift Justice out, Team Action in!:
Due to unfortunate circumstances that have arisen Swift Justice will unfortunately not be able to make it to Tipton on July 25th and more important to their scheduled 8-Man Survivor Series match teaming with The Coal Miners against The Hunter Brothers, Chris Brookes & Cupid Valentino. However, the show must always go on and when The Judge & Falcon had to step down from the match, two other competitors were more than willing to step in.

Team Action, consisting of “Dangerous” David Daniels & Pure Xtacy shocked the crowd in Wombourne last month when they picked up a huge victory over the beloved Hunter Brothers, and have vowed to embarrass the Hunter Brothers and AWE fans again when they will eliminate and go on t win the Survivor Series match later this month on July 25th at Tipton Sports Academy.

It’s only a few short weeks now before Alpha Wrestling Evolution break out of Tipton and head off to make our debut in Wombourne in Wolverhampton, and today we’re pleased to announce two exciting matches for what is set to be an amazing night of professional wrestling!

- Gunn & The Messiah square off for the first time!
Our Main Event of the evening will see a match that fans have eagerly anticipated for a long time as one of the most hated members of the AWE roster “The Messiah” Brandon Thomas takes on without-a-doubt one of the most popular in “The Rapid Fire” Tommy Gunn.

Brandon has still not got over the fact that on April 11th at One Will Prevail 2009 he failed to capture the ultimate prize in Alpha Wrestling Evolution when he was unsuccessful in a triple threat for the AWE Title. Since then Thomas has been a seething ball of rage and is looking to take out his frustrations on the much smaller Gunn on June 6th.

- Team Action team up to face The Hunters!
It’s without question that Team Action are without a doubt the most dominant group of wrestlers within the Alpha Wrestling Evolution ranks. However, we often see them in singles competition and rarely see the group explore in the Tag Team Division.

This all changes though on June 6th, as Team Action consisting of “Dangerous” David Daniels & Pure Xtacy are set to take on the ever popular Hunter Brothers in 2-on-2 competition. Both teams have a lot to prove in a match that could be great preparation for July 25th.

The tag team division is heating up and at the last show on April 11th both The Hunter Brothers and The Coal Miners picked up victories over Swift Justice and the team of Chris Brookes & Cupid Valentino respectively, with the losing teams feeling slightly bitter over the losses they sufferred. So July 25th will see AWE’s first ever Survivor Series rules match! Two teams of four will face off against one another in elimination format and whoever will be left at the end is anyone’s guess!

Team Number One will see the fan favorites unite as The Hunter Brothers team up with Chris Brookes & Cupid Valentino.

Team Number Two features the loathed outsiders of the Midlands as Swift Justice team up with The Coal Miners.

That’s right! Exciting news today as Alpha Wrestling Evolution is happy to announce that we are branching out of Tipton Sports Academy and Tipton in general!
